Santa Teresita School

Santa Teresita School is building a pool of candidates for potential teaching openings for the 2026–2027 school year. Positions are anticipated and contingent on enrollment and staffing needs.

We are an Archdiocese of Los Angeles Solidarity School serving the community of Boyle Heights. We offer multi-age classrooms and use structured programs including Success for All (SFA) and Illustrative Mathematics.

Openings May Include:

• Elementary (multi-age)
• Middle School Math (Grades 5-8)

Our school is strengthening instructional systems and building consistency across classrooms. Teachers receive support and feedback and are expected to plan ahead, implement curriculum with fidelity, and maintain structured, well-managed classrooms.

Requirements

• Have a commitment to Catholic education and Church teachings
• Hold a bachelor’s degree
• Believe in high expectations for all students
• Can establish positive connections with students through strong routines and classroom management
• Are willing to learn and implement school-wide programs
• Are open to feedback and continuous professional growth
• Are committed to serving our community

Teaching credential preferred; not required to start. Candidates must be willing to work toward a credential.

Wage Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
