Job Description

350 Wisconsin is seeking an individuals to join our board as members at large. Board members are responsible for overseeing the health of the organization and ensuring that our practices are sound. The board works closely with the Co-Executive Directors to carry out their duties.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Governance and Oversight: Establish policies, ensure legal/ethical compliance, and oversee financial performance.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in planning organization’s mission, vision, and long-term goals.
  • Financial Stewardship: Approve the annual budget, review financial statements, and ensure resources.
  • Leadership Support: Hire, evaluate, and advise the Executive Director.
  • Ambassador Role: Represent the organization to the public and assist in fundraising.

Board members need to be available to attend one-two meetings per month with the full Board, and to meet with staff and as needs arise. This is an anticipated time commitment of 6-8 hours per month on average.

This position can be performed remotely, although location in Dane County, Wisconsin would be helpful.
