Position Summary:
The Business Office Manager leads all billing, reimbursement, and collections functions to optimize cash flow and ensure timely, accurate payment for services. This role oversees resident accounts, payer billing (Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, Private/Secondary), denials management, and month-end revenue processes while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee end-to-end billing cycles: census/revenue capture, claims submission, payment posting, refunds, and AR reconciliation
Manage Medicare/Medicaid, Managed Care, and private pay billing; resolve denials, underpayments, and AR backlogs
Lead collections activities, establish aging targets, and drive AR days reduction
Maintain payer credentialing, contracts, and authorization processes
Partner with Admissions on financial verifications, payer source, and patient responsibility estimates
Ensure compliance with CMS, state Medicaid guidelines, and facility policies; maintain audit-ready documentation
Collaborate with clinical and therapy teams to validate documentation supports billing
Qualifications:
1 year of CCRC/long term care experience preferred
