Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking to fill a Part-Time Career Coach position in Saginaw, during the summer.

$16.00  an hour  plus 20% discount on in-store purchases.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for caseload assigned of consumers that are job ready and recommended by the Mission Services counselors.
• Write daily discharge summaries for referral agency/stakeholders for each consumer.
• Collaborate with supervisors, worksite staff, and participants to ensure positive outcome in Mission Services program services.
• Teach participants tasks for jobs during assessments.
• Track progress, maintain consumer contact, and provide transitional support.
• Coach and promote personal growth for each individual to reach quality standards.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed per Mission Services procedures.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience working with people who have disabilities
• Special training helpful in human relations, job development techniques, behavioral science, marketing and communications.
• Must have computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Other Qualifications:

• Dependable, tactful, resourceful, show initiative, and has good judgment.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid Michigan driver’s license, a safe driving record and maintain car insurance.
• Complete MDCH Direct Care Training or equivalent.
• May require lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Must have counseling experience.
