Summary:
A senior faculty member in the Department of Cancer Prevention and Control is seeking a qualified part-time data manager to support a dietary intervention study involving patients. The selected candidate will be responsible for data collection, including conducting dietary recalls, as well as managing and analyzing study data. Key responsibilities include recruiting patients, collecting protected health information (PHI), and obtaining informed consent.
The data manager will fulfill data requests promptly, abstract relevant data from institutional sources, and ensure accurate entry into the designated data collection system. They will also provide thorough documentation regarding data usage and collaborate with investigators to clarify and meet their data requirements. Additionally, the candidate will assist upper-level data management staff as needed, ensuring smooth operations throughout the study.
Qualified applicants should have experience in data management, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with handling sensitive patient information. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a research team are essential.
The pay range for this position is $26.94 - $36.02 hourly which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a clinical trials and/or research environment; or
2. Associate’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in a clinical trials and/or research environment.
NOTE:
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred Candidate will have:
Masters degree in Nutrition
Experience conducting and analyzing 24-hour multipass dietary recalls
Anthropometric data collection
Experience training research assistants
Experience interacting with patients in a research setting
