Role overview My Dentist Midtown Tulsa, a Heartland Dental supported practice, is seeking a Full-Time Experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. You will work with state-of-the-art technology in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient care and ongoing learning. Key responsibilities Greet patients and support them through their dental journey; provide education and comfort throughout treatment Review health history to inform quality care Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (e.g., iTero 3D scanner, digital photography) Provide four-handed chairside assistance to supported dentists Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols in line with OSHA & CDC guidance Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize workflows Minimum qualifications High School Diploma or GED State-issued Dental Assistant Permit and X-ray credentials 4+ years of dental assistant experience Experience with temps and dentures is a plus Dentrix or other dental software experience Dental knowledge and software: working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology; Microsoft Office familiarity Team & culture fit: collaborative, dependable, positive, service-oriented Professional skills: fast-paced, customer-centric, strong communication and organizational skills; adaptable to changing workflows; detail-oriented with proactive problem-solving Compliance & confidentiality: protect PHI; regular HIPAA training; maintain data safeguards Physical requirements: ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation; capable of lifting up to 45 pounds; occasional training attendance About Heartland Dental Heartland Dental is the nation’s largest dental support organization, providing non-clinical administrative support to thousands of doctors across multiple states and offices.
