Job Description

Zilliant is a SaaS company on a mission to eliminate Pricing Anxiety and turn pricing into a strategic advantage for our customers. Guided by our values—People First, Trust, Accountability, Impact, and Innovation—we deliver intelligent solutions that align teams, build confidence, and drive sustainable growth. We know our business is about more than just software—it’s about the people who power it, from our dedicated team to the customers we serve.

Zilliant is looking for a strategic and hands-on Director, People Operations, to join our People team. As Director, Global People Operations, you will lead the operational engine of our global HR function, overseeing workforce planning, employee relations, global payroll, benefits administration, performance and merit processes, HR systems, and board-level reporting, while also providing strategic leadership to a multi-disciplinary People team. You will ensure compliance, scalability, and operational excellence while supporting complex international employment matters and organizational change initiatives. You’ll work closely with Finance, Legal, executive leadership, managers, brokers, and external partners and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead global workforce planning processes, including headcount reviews, organizational planning support, and board-ready reporting.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the People team, setting vision, aligning priorities to business objectives, and building a high-performing, scalable People function.
  • Manage complex employee relations matters across the U.S. and internationally, including representation for non-U.S. employment issues, reductions in force (RIFs), and country-specific closures.
  • Oversee annual merit and performance cycles, including budget alignment with Finance, distribution-based compensation recommendations, review calibration, and end-to-end documentation and execution.
  • Own global payroll and benefits operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, broker coordination, open enrollment execution, and successful HRIS-provider integrations.
  • Maintain and optimize HR systems and tools (HRIS, ADFS, Betterworks, SharePoint, and other enablement platforms), ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and scalable processes.

What You Won’t Do:

  • Operate in “maintenance mode” - this role is about building, refining, and scaling processes to support a growing global organization.
  • Work in isolation - you’ll be a visible partner to Finance, Legal, and executive leadership on high-impact workforce and compliance decisions.

Who You Are:

  • A steady, solutions-oriented leader who can navigate complex employee relations and organizational changes with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Highly analytical and detail-driven, with the ability to translate workforce data into executive-level insights.
  • Comfortable operating globally, balancing U.S. and international employment considerations with confidence.
  • Process-minded but pragmatic - you know when to build structure and when to move quickly.
  • A clear communicator who can manage sensitive conversations with empathy while protecting the company.

What You’ll Need:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant leadership within global People Operations environments.
  • Proven experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary People teams, with the ability to set strategic direction while driving operational excellence across Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnership, People Operations, and Learning & Development.
  • Significant experience navigating employment law and workforce actions in Europe — specifically the UK, France, and Germany — including works council engagement, country-specific compliance, and complex employee relations matters.
  • Demonstrated experience managing reductions in force (RIFs), international employment matters, and high-risk employee relations cases.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide performance and merit cycles in close partnership with Finance, including budget alignment and executive calibration processes.
  • Strong expertise in global payroll and benefits administration, including vendor and broker oversight, compliance, and systems integration.
  • Experience setting strategy and governance for the People technology ecosystem (payroll, global employment, background screening, performance management, compensation planning, recruiting, compliance, reporting, and learning), ensuring automation, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and scalable global operations.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment law and experience coordinating with international counsel and external advisors.

What You’ll Enjoy:

  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, and 401k plans with a company match
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) policy to ensure a solid work/life balance
  • Monthly Zilliant Zen Days to rest and recharge
  • Comprehensive parental leave to provide time to bond with new family members
  • Volunteer Time Off (VTO) policy to give back and contribute to your local community
  • Remote or Hybrid work schedule, depending on team and personal preferences
  • The financial and strategic backing of Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP)
