Description

Director of Security is the executive leader of the Security Department and responsible for leading the Security team managing relationships with Law Enforcement and ensuring safety of the property.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for structuring all security policies standards internal controls procedures and guidelines
  • Ensure clients regulatory and internal requirements are being met consistently and cost-effectively
  • Provide advisory role to all security customers as needed and direct them to the appropriate security resources
  • Recruit interview hire and train a world-class security team.
  • Interact with local law enforcement agencies to coordinate efforts to ensure employee and customer safety
  • Manage the security awareness program throughout the company
  • Manage any security business practice irregularities violations and infractions security position memos
  • Manage and coach direct reports to ensure they perform at the highest level of quality and are able to achieve current goals
  • Prepare project plans and associated documentation
  • Lead an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws regulations and company policies
  • Analyzes the training needs for the Security Department and implements a training plan and budget to meet the identified needs
  • Ensures compliance with departmental internal controls and casino control commission regulations

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5 years of casino or corporate security experience preferred
  • 5 years employment in a security related department law enforcement or military preferred
  • Professional certifications (CPP APP etc.) preferred
  • A thorough knowledge of accepted Gaming and Security procedures
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills along with a good working knowledge of basic computer programs
  • Thorough understanding of local state federal and regulatory laws.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a MLGCA Gaming License
  • Must be able to obtain a ServeSafe Alcohol
  • Must possess a current and valid Maryland Drivers License
  • $90000 to $120000 Annually
