Job Description

Private Boston based family seeks an experienced full-time Executive Housekeeper to assist in the daily cleaning, care, and service of their residence. This position consists of the following schedule:  Sunday and Monday 11am-7pm, Tuesday – Thursday 8am to 4pm, with flexibility for over-time.  The candidate should be extremely detail-oriented, able to navigate and clean around antiques and fine artwork, manage household projects, and be comfortable working both independently and with a team (nannies, chef, etc.,) of staff. In addition to primary housekeeping duties, this candidate should be service-oriented and able to communicate with vendors and contractors. The idea candidate will be positive, organized, professional, personable, and a team-player. Must be dog friendly! Great benefits!

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• All aspects of general housekeeping, deep cleaning, and upkeep of the residence and guest residences
• Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (wood, glass, leather, antiques, silver, etc.)
• Complete the family’s laundry including washing and ironing clothes when in residence
• Manage and communicate with vendors and contractors
• Household organization and inventory to ensure the home and property are well-maintained and running efficiently
• Effective communicating and collaboration with team members on projects, timelines, etc.
• Maintain residence for guest readiness at all times
• Willingness to run routine errands such as dry cleaners, groceries, etc.
• Additional housekeeper responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the family and/or team

Requirements:

• Strong command of English language; outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
• Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience working in a private home
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable and willing to work in a home with pets
• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; willing and able to take direction well
• Thorough knowledge of deep household cleaning, laundry, organization, fine arts, and antiques
• Polished, poised, and professional in both mindset and manner; use of utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times
• An above and beyond mentality
• Flexibility in scheduling with the willingness to work additional hours as needed
  
• Valid Driver’s License is required, confident driver with a clean driving record
• Legally able to work in the United States
