Job Description:
Under general supervision, the Outreach Victim Advocate provides on scene crisis intervention, advocacy and assistance to victims, witnesses, and survivors of violent and non-violent crimes in the City of Longmont.

Working Environment:
Duties are performed in an office setting within the Police Department, but also include responding to on-scene call outs to provide crisis intervention to crime victims. Requires the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Requires the ability to work cooperatively with crime victims, Police Officers and other Police personnel, citizens, local service providers and non-profits. Requires problem solving, performing detailed work, and handling multiple concurrent tasks. Work will require flexibility including irregular work hours.
There will be frequent walking, sitting, standing, light lifting and carrying up to 15 pounds. Requires ability to safely operate a vehicle when responding to on-scene call outs. Work requires the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
