Position Overview

RCRC is seeking a motivated Social Media & Community Engagement Intern to help strengthen our online presence and connect with the local community. This role is ideal for a student or early-career professional interested in nonprofit marketing, communications, digital media, or community engagement .

The intern will help curate engaging social media content, support volunteer communications, and promote community events while gaining hands-on experience managing nonprofit social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Help manage and monitor RCRC social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram

• Assist with scheduled posts, stories, sharing, and community engagement

• Respond to comments and messages and help maintain a positive online presence

• Support the promotion of events

• Assist in developing short-form video content and engaging posts

• Collaborate with volunteers to post pre-designed materials

• Track basic engagement metrics and provide feedback on post performance

• Help identify opportunities to increase volunteer participation and community partnerships

• Assist with basic graphic design, photography, or short video editing when needed

• Passion for supporting community initiatives

Schedule & Work Style

• Flexible schedule

• Mostly remote with occasional in-person opportunities at events in Redlands
